This Kit uses REPLACEMENT REAR LEAF SPRINGS (52 Inch Length) to raise the rear. This family of vehicles has a one-piece axle housing with leaf springs on both front and rear ends. When weighing rear lift options, remember that the factory springs, if still in good condition, are considered a pretty good stock spring. This fact, combined with the absence of factory lift blocks, generally makes the vehicle a good candidate for rear lift blocks. Add-a-leafs are the ticket to firm-up the rear for hauling, towing, and to combat spring wrap-up. Replacement springs are the way to go if the factory springs are overly fatigued or damaged.

Foot Notes:
2- 1977.5 to 1991 models require clearance (grinding) of the front driveshaft CV cluster to prevent binding. If vehicle has single exhaust, the cross-over pipe requires modification to clear front driveshaft.
