The JK family uses 22 different factory coil springs, each with a slightly different rate, dictated by how the JK is equipped. New Superlift front / rear coils provide the lift. The largest jump in spring rate is from the 2 to 4-door model so Superlift offers a heavier rated rear spring for the 4-door. Lift height can vary slightly (plus / minus up to 3/8) depending on your factory spring rate.

Track bar angle increases as the JK is raised, and bar length becomes an issue when lift height exceeds 2 1/2 inches. Track bar bind causes the chassis and axle to continuously "tug" against one another, resulting in uneven ride height (side-to-side), chassis / frame misalignment and "roll and yaw". Front correction is accomplished via a new adjustable track bar. This route is preferred over using a relocation bracket because the bar's arc of travel must remain in sync with the drag link's arc of travel; if they get out of sync, steering wheel "kick" will result. A relocation bracket is used at the rear axle since there are no steering geometry issues.

The stock JK has no provisions for front caster angle realignment, which is required at this lift height, so Superlift provides new alignment cams. Note that factory caster angle can vary substantially from one JK to the next, so it is possible that the furnished alignment cams may not yield sufficient caster on some JKs. In these cases, optional longer axle-to-frame lower links must be used, which are available in fixed-length or Rockrunner versions.

Compression travel is controlled via new dampeners; our unique closed-cell foam units are supplied for both front and rear axles. New shocks (3 different levels of performance and price offered) improve control and restore full extension travel. The lift system also includes longer sway bar links with factory style, tie-rod type upper ends, front / rear brake hose relocation brackets and emergency brake cable brackets. nothing is left unattended.
