1992-93 Chevrolet/GMC Suburban 3/4 Ton 4WD 5 - 7 inch Front / 5 inch Rear (With 8-Lug Wheels and 2-Bolt Idler) With Bilstein Shocks. 1992 1993 Truck SuperLift 6 Inch Lift Kit K272B Chevy Chevrolet GMC
This Kit uses 5 inch BLOCKS to raise the rear.
Lowering the factory upper and lower control arms in relation to the frame brings ride height up. By keeping the factory control arms and torsion bars, we are able to retain stock alignment geometry and ride quality. Note that both systems have a two-inch height range. Front vehicle height is determined by torsion bar adjustment; you choose rear lift height and method to match your choice of front lift.
The front differential assembly is also lowered to keep CV axle angles in check. This is accomplished by using two, onepiece tubular crossmembers that span from frame rail-to-frame rail. Superlift's new control arm brackets tie into these crossmembers along with "kicker" braces to form an exceptionally strong assembly.
The truck steers via a new "dropped" centerlink that keeps the tie rods in phase with the lower control arms. Two greasable stabilizing links regulate centerlink movement and reduce the load and stress transmitted to the pitman and idler arms.
Superlift's lift method does not increase front track width or require the front differential housing to be trimmed, as is the case with most replacement knuckle systems.
Features Retains factory ride quality, steering geometry and CV axle angles Front track width not increased Front differential housing does not require trimming Load bearing bracketry made of .25" thick plate steel or DOM tubing Dual centerlink stabilizing links make steering more responsive and extend pitman / idler arm life Full-width differential / control arm crossmembers provide lateral rigidity Crossmember kicker braces add strength front-to-rear Skid plate, made of mild steel, protects front differential Longer DOT approved front brake hoses (except 1996-98 models with 8-lug wheels) Front/Rear Bilstein shocks with black boots included Recommended Tire Size: 35" x 12.50" tire on 8" to 9" wide wheel with 4.5" to 5.5" back spacing.
Bilstein Shock Absorber performance features:
- The shock body dissipates heat more efficiently.
- Its unique piston/valve assembly provides completely independent valving between compression and rebound cycles which allows it to react faster to changing terrain regardless of vehicle speed.
- Virtually eliminates the possibility of oil foaming with the patented "floating" piston that divides the high-pressure nitrogen gas and shock oil.
- Superior construction for strength and durability.
7- With single exhaust, a new, reformed section of exhaust crossover pipe is required to clear front driveshaft.
27- Special puller tool is recommended to load/unload torsion bars.
37- Front brake hoses included in box.
81- Cannot reuse factory steering stabilizer.
