This Kit uses 4 inch BLOCKS to raise the rear. This family of Fords uses a two-piece front axle, coil springs, and radius arms. Ford calls this version of IFS their Twin Traction Beam (TTB) suspension. As front ride height is raised, the tops of the tires lean outward creating positive camber angle. With lifts over 2 inches, caster angle must also be addressed. Correction is handled by lowering the stock radius arms. For taller lifts, new axle-to-crossmember lowering brackets restore camber. It may be necessary to replace the stock eccentric camber bushings to precisely dial-in camber angle.
Our dropped pitman arm reduces some of the additional tie rod angle created by the lift. The new steering system uses a centerlink to further reduce tie rod angles, and the new tie rods are more proportional in length to the axle halves. The result is steering linkage that is more in phase with the suspension.
