2009-10 Chevrolet/GMC Silverado / Sierra 3500 4WD 6 - 7.5 inch Front / 5 inch Rear With Bilstein Shocks. 2009 2010 Truck SuperLift 7 Inch Lift Kit K873B Chevy Chevrolet GMC
This Kit uses 5 inch BLOCKS to raise the rear.
*** This kit will NOT work with AWD or Electronic Controlled Shock Models(AutoRide).
*** Vehicles with AutoTrac require replacement Front Driveshaft - See Related Products below.
*** Generally, to achieve and / or maintain lift height over 6.5", heavier rated GM torsion bars are required. We suggest GM part #157124117 (driver side bar); GM part #15712412 (passenger side bar). GM bar letter code is "WZ".
The factory upper and lower control arms are lowered in relation to the frame, which brings ride height up. By keeping the factory control arms and torsion bars, we are able to retain stock alignment geometry and ride quality.
The front differential assembly is also lowered, via plate steel bracketry, to keep CV axle angles in check. Superlift's new control arm brackets tie into crossmembers that span the distance between each frame rail along with optional "kicker" braces to form an exceptionally strong assembly. See Kicker Braces in Related Products below.
The vehicle steers through a centerlink. Bracketry lowers the factory centerlink to keep the tie rods in phase with the lower control arms. A greasable stabilizing link regulates centerlink movement and reduces the load and stress transmitted to the pitman and idler arms.
Superlift's lift method does not increase front track width or require the front differential housing to be trimmed, as is the case with most replacement knuckle systems.
Features Retains factory ride quality, steering geometry, and CV axle angles Front track width not increased Front differential housing does not require trimming Load bearing bracketry made of 0.1875" thick plate steel or DOM tubing Full-width control arm crossmembers provide lateral rigidity Centerlink stabilizing link makes steering more responsive and extends pitman / idler arm life Longer factory style front anti-sway bar links prevent bar pre-load Front/Rear Bilstein shocks with black boots included Recommended Tire Size: At 6" Lift - 35 x 12.50" tire on 8" to 9" wide wheel with 4.5" to 5.5" back spacing. Recommended Tire Size: At 7.5" Lift - 37 x 12.50" tire on 8" to 9" wide wheel with 4.5" to 5.5" back spacing.
Bilstein Shock Absorber performance features:
- The shock body dissipates heat more efficiently.
- Its unique piston/valve assembly provides completely independent valving between compression and rebound cycles which allows it to react faster to changing terrain regardless of vehicle speed.
- Virtually eliminates the possibility of oil foaming with the patented "floating" piston that divides the high-pressure nitrogen gas and shock oil.
- Superior construction for strength and durability.
1- 2009-10 models with Autotrac require dual cardan driveshaft, See Related Products Below. Non-Autotrac models may also need driveshaft if regularly driven in 4WD over 35 MPH.
7- With single exhaust, a new, reformed section of exhaust crossover pipe is required to clear front driveshaft.
27- Special puller tool is recommended to load/unload torsion bars.
142- 2009-2010 models require part # 15252696 & 15150104 to be purchased from the dealership in order to install front driveshaft.
